Jose L. del Pozo
Jose L del Pozo is the Head of the Infectious Diseases Division and of the Department of Clinical Microbiology, Professor of the School of Medicine, and Director of the Biofilms Research Laboratory in Clínica Universidad de Navarra (Pamplona). His research is focused on new strategies for diagnosis and treatment of biofilm-related infections, as well as epidemiology and treatment of healthcare associated infections caused by MDR microorganisms. He is co-author of more than 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and he has given many national and international conferences. He is currently the president of the health care-associated infections study group (GEIRAS) of the Spanish Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology (SEIMC).
Fabio Tumietto is Senior Physician in Charge at the Division of Infectious Diseases, University of Bologna, S. Orsola Hospital; Chief in charge of Unit for Epidemiology and Control of Infectious Risk Related to Health Care Organizations and Director in charge of the Metropolitan Network for Antimicrobial Stewardship and Healthcare Acquired Infection also in Bologna. His research is focused on infectious diseases, especially by multidrug resistant bacteria and antimicrobial stewardship. He has given numerous national and international conferences and he is co-author of more than 30 publications related with these topics.
Patrícia Curado Poeta
Patrícia Alexandra Curado Quintas Dinis Poeta, EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Microbiology and ESGVM Executive Committee of ESCMID. Professor at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD). Member of LAVQ-REQUIMTE, Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science and Technology, University NOVA of Lisbon. Coordinator of the Research Group MicroArt- Microbiology and Antibiotic resistance Team and Head of Medical Microbiology Laboratory. Her main research interest is the characterization of antibiotic resistance mechanisms in bacteria of different origins as humans, animals, food, water and the environment. She has received several awards and published more than 150 articles and book chapters.
Carolina García-Vidal is Senior Specialist in Infectious Diseases at the Hospital Clinic (Barcelona) and associate professor of the University of Barcelona. Her research is focused in infection in onco-hematologic patients and use of artificial intelligence to optimize prevention and management of infectious diseases. She has received important awards such as the ESCMID Young investigator Award for Research in Clinical Microbiology and Infection. She is author of more than 140 scientific publications and more than 350 national and international conferences.
